To schedule this call, please email me at lisasondin@gmail.com with some times of the day you are most available. Please know that I try to return emails and schedule phone conversations quickly but as a sole practitioner, it may take me a few days to respond. I appreciate your patience!
This first call is usually about 10-15 minutes long. The purpose of this phone conversation is for us to begin to get to know one another, hear your concerns, and help determine how I can best meet your needs. At the end of the call, we may make an appointment to meet in person.
For children 13 and under, I generally meet with the parents first for a one hour intake. It is important for me to understand as much as I can about your child and family before starting therapy with your child. I take a full history and listen carefully to your concerns and goals. The cost of this initial intake session is $300.
For teens, I often meet with the teen first for a few sessions (first one at $300 and the rest at my normal rate, see fees for my rates) and then meet with the parents.
Ongoing 50 minute therapy appointments ($250.00 per session ) are most often scheduled weekly. Though more frequent sessions or longer session times are sometimes indicated and can be arranged.
As needed and with your permission, I can collaborate with other professionals in your child’s life such as teachers and psychiatrists.
At some point during the course of a therapy with your child, I generally do a home visit. I may also do a school visit to observe your child if needed. These visits help me to understand your child outside of the therapy office. Billed at $250.00 per 5o min. including transportation.
After I have seen your child or teen for 4-5 sessions, I meet back with the parents to discuss my findings. Together we will discuss the course of therapy will take, set goals, and answer questions.
I meet with parents every 5 weeks or as needed. I encourage parents to keep in close contact with me and share updates about their child’s progress through emails or phone calls.
